Prosperity...3Jo 1:2

3Jo 1:2
Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. (KJV)

It has always been s stigma among Christians about prosperity, even some pastors were labeled 'prosperity' preachers.

However, as we can see from 3Jo 1:2 that Apostle John, the disciple that is closest to Jesus when He walked on Earth put our prosperity and health as his utmost wish for all the believers. That would put Apostle John as the first 'health and wealth' preacher! As the disciple that truly understand Jesus' love for us (that why John called himself "disciple whom Jesus loved" in the gospel), these inspired words in the Bible are also God's wishes for us.

Prosperity in the bible is not just confined to material success only. The word prosperity also stems from the same root word for shalom, which is translated, "peace; safe; welfare; health; favor." Prosperity involves success in every area of life.

The key for prosperity and health lies in first getting our soul nourished! For God so loved us that He would not give us anything (even those that are 'good' in our standards) that would harm us because we are not in His Rest to enjoy them. Such 'good' things, under the conditions of our unrest heart would not be a good success! God is a good God, and out of His goodness give us only good success (Mat 7:11).

Mat 7:11
"If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!

Oh praise God, hallelujah! My heart can now gladly praise His mercy for even closing of doors (to actually save me!) that I, by fresh, eagerly wanted to have the opportunity through my limited understanding. No matter how an event turn out, I can now be fully at rest because He loves me, and I am perpetually living in continuous prosperity, hallelujah! AMEN!
