Jesus Wept...Jn 11:35

Woke up with heart burdened by the news that my wife's friend's son, 6 years-old, is dying from leukemia. My heart cried with his parent. The boy is same age as my son.

The sweet Holy Spirit reminded me of the shortest verse in the Bible, Jn 11:35 - Jesus wept.

Jesus wept when He saw Mary weeping for her brother, full of compassion. Our Savior, though fully God, is also fully man and is able to grief with us! The story has an happy ending - Lazarus was raised from the dead!

Today, us as beloved of Christ, enjoys something that the disciples at the time of Christ walking on Earth couldn't have had - Christ not yet died and ascended!

However, NOW, for us, though we are in the world, we are not of the world, because as He is so are we in this world (1 Jn 4:17)!

1Jo 4:17
Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.

As Christ Jesus is NOT having leukemia NOW in heaven, so is that boy though he is on earth, AMEN! The love of Christ has perfected us to have the perfect boldness and righteousness in the day of judgment (in this case decease) to claim what had been paid so dearly by Jesus on that old rugged cross - the perfect healing, anything less would be unrighteous, AMEN!
